2022 Toyota Hilux Redesign – The Toyota Hilux is one of the world’s best pickup trucks despite the fact that it is not sold in the US. Thankfully we have the Toyota Tacoma, which is about the same size and equally sticky and almost unbreakable. Although the two are mechanically related, there are clear styling distinctions. Well, at least there was. If the leaked images we are looking for are the actual deal, courtesy of automatic export company Milele Motors, then it’s the Japanese automaker decision to make the facelielevate Hilux more now in line with its North American cousin.
2022 Toyota Hilux Redesign
The Hilux now looks after sports a fat ornamental as the Tacoma’s, and the website claims Toyota will offer two headlamps, one LED and another LED/halogen combination for lower trim levels. The clothing forces are also redesigned. However, these are computer-generated images so there is still a possibility that they do not reflect the final design 100 percent accurately.
Apart from the new front and back ends, the rest of the Hilux of the current truck seems to be transferred. Toyota has previously said Australia’s carvies that the facmamilling design is influenced by Tacoma, so there is a fairly good chance that these versions are very close to the back.
In The coming years, however Toyota not only moves the Tacoma and Tundra to a common platform, but also the next generation Hilux. The current Hilux hit the market in 2015 so this last facelift will keep it fresh for yet a few years.
We still do not know exactly when the next Tacoma will come, but given that the current generation also receives a styling Update with new LED headlights and some other feature upgrades, chances are this still a few years away. The full size Tundra is actually in a greater need for a substitute than the Tacoma, and we expect that to redesign to come somewhere in 2022.
Toyota is in no hurry to replace the Tacoma, because it is already the best-selling mid-size truck in the US despite fresh competition of the Ford Ranger and Jeep Gladiator.
Toyota’s eight generation Hilux was introduced about four years ago, so it’s too early to talk about the successor. Usually, the Japanese car manufacturer sets the next-Gen model every 10 years, but it is not going to be the case this time. Instead, the completely redesigned workhorse will be ready in less than two years from now. More precisely, it’s going to be set as the 2022 Toyota Hilux.
At present, the new-Genesis Hilux is in the early phase of development, so we still have nothing official in relation to the truck. Still, we have some interesting information about the truck thanks to our insider.
A new plant for the pickup
First, the Japanese carmaker will move the production of the Hilux in another place. They have already started working on a new plant in Myanmar, and the entire investment is going to cost almost $53 000 000.
New platform and better ride quality for the 2022 Toyota Hilux
According to our insider, the 2022 Hilux will ride on an entirely new platform. The pickup truck will switch to the company’s upcoming F1 architecture, which will underestimate Toyota’s entire bakkie load car fleet and all body-on-Frame SUVs. The shared platform will allegedly make the successor lighter, more rigid and compatible with new technologies. Also, the redesigned pickup will lose its usual leaf-sprung rear suspension in favor of something better. Unofficially, the next-Gen Hilux will either get a coil spring or air spring behind suspension so you can expect smoother ride regardless of the choice. Today’s Hilux has been fixed with Hydroog with sending a negative effect on the truck’s dynamics. Fortunately, this is not the case with the successor, as it will be addicted to an electrically assisted steering shelf in order to provide better maneuvering.
2022 Toyota Hilux Redesigned and features
Allegedly the 2022 Toyota Hilux will undergo a radical outside redesign. Interestingly, word on the street is that this new model will grow in length as well, but this is not the official moment. Of course, the pickup will implement the company’s latest technology, including a new and more responsive infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android automatic smartphone integration. We expect to be the latest available Toyota safety Device Suite standard for all trim levels.
2022 Toyota Hilux Engine options and transfer
Judging by the latest reports, the overseas Tundra pickup truck is becoming a plug-in hybrid power supply soon. Well this may be the case with 2022 Toyota Hilux as well, although this one will not exploit as a powerful setup as it is the Tundra’s future 3.5-litre Twin-Turbo V6 hybrid that pump 450 horsepower (355 kW) in total. The Hilux PHEV will probably get a smaller shot of electric adrenaline farm.
As for the 2022 Toyota Hilux Diesel, the oil-chugging model will remain loyal to some of turbodiesels. Although, both of them, a 2.4-litre and a 2.8-litre mill will certainly deliver extra power when the redesigned truck strikes the dealer. The pickup will also add some more gears. Yes, the Automaer will introduce a new 8-speed motor gearbox.
